We celebrated Janmashtami. An awareness on Janmashtami, the mythological stories on Krishna, Radha, Kansh – through plays and narrations; were presented to the children.The students were overjoyed when they broke the ‘Dahi Handi’ (pot of butter & curd) to grace this occasion. Dahi Handi is the most ancient joyful game played and celebrated, for the birth of Krishna in Janmashtami. It is celebrated amidst merriment. Young men and boys form teams, make a human pyramid and attempt to reach or break the pot.
